OE OVERVIEW:We are looking for a well:rounded Technical Support Engineer to join our growing Site Reliability Engineering team. As a Senior Support Engineer, you will be exposed to all facets of the business and take a proactive role in solving mission critical issues. YouA?ll be working in one of the most collaborative offices in Center City Philly, developing and working with machine learning technology, surrounded by passionate, high:performing individuals. QUALIFICATIONS:The Senior Support Engineer candidate is an intelligent, motivated person that enjoys collaborating with talented co:workers to solve complex problems and make a meaningful impact on a team. The candidate should be: Experienced supporting distributed, cloud:based production systemsA proficient programmer, preferably in one of our primary programming languages: Go, JavaScript, Python, and PHPComfortable working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and understand the different services that AWS offersComfortable with monitoring and logging solutions. such as: Datadog, ELK stack, AWS CloudWatch, and Sentry.Familiar with high:scale environments, including how to deal with production and staging deployment environments, designing software for high:scale applications, and best practices around modern DevOps conceptsExperienced supporting Docker/containerization in a production environment is a big plus RESPONSIBILITIES:The Site Reliability team is critical to the successful delivery of SidecarA?s technology services to our customers. Site Reliability serves two primary functions: support of our production systems, and ongoing improvement of delivery practices. As a senior member of the team, youA?ll be actively engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure satisfaction with our technology services. Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application, and networkDevelopment of monitoring, analytics and troubleshooting tools.Perform deep dives into both systemic and latent reliability issues; partner with software and systems engineers across the organization to produce and roll out fixesFollow and help improve Sidecars standards for design, coding, testing, and documentationCollaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for improvementIdentify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management, and visibility of our servicesReduce overall support burden on the team through design and implementation of system improvement projects WHO WE ARE: Sidecar built a technology from the ground up thatA?s dedicated to one mission: Tackle the challenges retailers face in data:driven e:commerce channels.
