Systems engineering lead to develop and deliver a new mission support (non:NAS) system that replaces the existing CountOps system and meets the needs of the joint agency and NATCA workgroup. The engineer will orchestrate technical aspects of the project between separate organizations delivering hardware and software, the program management team, and the stakeholders. Required deliverables include use cases, requirements documentation, specifications, systems engineering management plan, VRTM, and test plan. Responsibilities include ensuring the hardware and software teams have access to all required data sources and ensuring the final system meets all security requirements in accordance with the required schedule. Knowledge of National Airspace System Capabilities.Knowledge of FAA Risk Management Processes.Knowledge of FAA systems engineering processes.Ability to work across organizational boundaries and technical disciplines.Ability to communicate and effectively engage with AJM senior leadership, AJM 2 senior leadership, AJM 2 Group Managers, AJM 2 Program Managers, and AJM 2 Risk Managers, stakeholders, and external organizations. Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).Experience:At least 15 years of experience working on FAA systems or systems of equivalent complexity (i.e., DoD).Demonstrated ability to influence, guide, and direct work so that risks, issues, and opportunities are effectively managed.Demonstrated ability to integrate requirements management, management reserve control, and risk management so that AJM 2 cost, schedule, and performance objectives can be met.Demonstrated ability to articulate cross:platform integration risks across the AJM portfolio of capabilities.Demonstrated ability to deliver capabilities and integrate software and hardware so that user needs are met.Demonstrated experience with agile development. Knowledge of current FAA surveillance and automation systems.
