Responsibilities:
:Support the design of mechanical and electromechanical components.Help develop specifications and methods and conduct testing to evaluate prototype equipment functionality and capability. Identify and develop solutions to support process improvement. Scope of Position
:Apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials
:Researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators
:Design and execute process experimentation, fixtures, and tooling
:Analyze data and present conclusions
:Troubleshoot processes and identify solutions
:Work under the direction of an engineer
:Become familiar with glass manufacturing equipment, documentation, and processes
:Provide mechanical solutions to equipment, safety, or process challenges
:Identify process/equipment and procedural opportunities to improve process performance
:Develop and design parts to be used in equipment for process improvements
:Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, information, and trends
House of work/work schedule/flex:time
Normal Business Hours (8am : 5pm, Mon : Fri); however, expected to work hours required to achieve project objectives including overtime, weekend, and off:shift hours.

Education and Experience
:Enrolled in BSME, BSEE, BSChE, Physics
:Rising Junior level or higher
:Prior manufacturing or mechanical internship desirable
Required Skills
:Computer literate in MS:Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
:Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD Inventor design software
:Ability to interpret mechanical schematics
:Team Player : ability to interact with Manufacturing personnel and Engineering staff
:Effective Communication Skills : verbal and written plans, results, and recommendations
:Analytical problem:solving skills
:Hands on skills to work on equipment to build and repair

:Familiar with mechanical components and machine methods
:Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
:Self:motivated and results oriented
:Reliable and detail oriented
:Ensures things are done properly, even if it means starting over
