Job Description
The Merchandising Coordinator will primarily be responsible for supporting the Merchandising Management team in all facets of the Marketing process. This includes coordination, management and execution of the Marketing Calendar, working with suppliers to coordinate Marketing activities, cross:functional coordination between internal stakeholders and general accountability for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of Marketing collateral/needs. This role will work closely with the respective Merchandising Managers to ensure alignment on and prioritization of key strategic initiatives. Assist with other Merchandising activities as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
:Assists in executing marketing and sales objectives through direct management of a variety of marketing materials and coordination of multiple marketing programs and initiatives.
:Acts as liaison between Merchandising, Marketing, Vendor Community and other stakeholders.
:Coordinates with vendors to support the execution of marketing and sales objectives.
:Works effectively and closely with Merchandising Managers and external resources to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Marketing material.
:Assists in proofing of all print and electronic Marketing materials being built.
:Coordinates the Marketing Calendar on behalf of Merchandising.
:Collaborates with the vendor community and internal business partners to collect and maintain supplier/product information associated with our portfolio of products.
:Assists in the catalog process for ORS Nasco marketing initiatives.
:Understands Marketing process and acts as SME for Merchandising team.
:Updates and maintains vendor/item database ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
:Responsible for maintaining item records in database and corresponding systems and providing new item activation and may provide forecasting support as needed. May included but not limited to SAP and EnterWorks.
:Work with vendors to acquire and validate product content for new items and to complete submission through online item maintenance tools. Support financial systems related to facility space engineering.
:Processes list/cost changes. Ensures charge backs and authorization paperwork is received from suppliers to enforce SOX defined processes.
:Processes all product maintenance items including unit of measure changes and life cycle (e.g. stock number changes, replacement product, etc.).
:Administers product standards and works on various reports to resolve discrepancies.
:Provides support to merchandising manager ensuring schedules are met and merchandise is in place.
:Understands and demonstrates Essendants Core Values.
:Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
:Desire to learn, grow and develop Merchandising skill:set.

:Strong analytical and decision making skills.
:Capacity for creative thinking in negotiating or problem solving atmosphere.
:Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
