The Gravity Vault is seeking an Assistant Manager for various locations in NJ including its soon to be open location in Voorhees, NJ. Candidates should have management experience in climbing or other service industries, uphold the Gravity Vault mission of creating a positive and friendly atmosphere for employees and climbers, and be detail oriented.

Who We Are Looking For:
The Assistant Manager reports to the overall Gym Manager to assist in the overall gym operations including overseeing the day-to-day operations, inspiring and leading the team, operating independently while maintaining company quality standards. A visible member of our customer service team, ensuring great customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities:
Reports to the Gym Manager and share the weekly management of the the day-day operations of the climbing gym. Works a four day work week. This includes:
Assisting with overseeing a safe, well maintained, industry relevant, clean and bright environment for customers and staff.
Overall responsibility for customer relations with a priority on building lasting customer relationships.
Assisting with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising staff.
Assisting with gym maintenance and route setting.
Assisting with purchasing and merchandising inventory.
Assisting with marketing and promotions including social media management and traditional media.

Job Requirements
Previous management experience in climbing or other service industries preferred. Technical background in climbing preferred.
Experience in managing staff and customers preferred.
Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings/weekends/special events. Typical four day work week including one weekend day – full time position.
Enjoys working in a fun, fast paced service environment: capable of staying calm, making quick decisions, and delicately managing customer and staff interactions. Needs to be detail oriented and organized.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
