If you are energized by working with high school students, this is the opportunity for you As partners with non:public schools in the Philadelphia area, Catapult Learning provides instructional services for students with academic need. In a small group setting (no more than 6 students) your will give lessons that will allow them to experience success in their other classes. The focus of your instruction will be either basic reading and/or foundational math. Trainng and on:goin support for your success (and your students) is provided. . Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Use assessment data to determine students skill levelsPlan lessons that focus on skill acquisition to support their understanding of academic contentCreate and implement instructional sessions that are motivating for High School studentsWork cooperatively with school staff in developing positive educational experiences for studentsMonitor student progress sharing information with students, their parents and school staffProvide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the development of the students skillsParticipate in Catapult Learning professional development and follow Catapult Learning guidelines for effecive instrucionEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:BachhelorA?s degree and current teaching certification required (HS experience preferred.) OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to pass a background clearance as required by the school district.Must understand that all students can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS: Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs.
