**Position Description** :
The Vice President has full authority with five functional areas within scope, including Nursing, Support Services, Business Management, Information Technology and Performance Improvement. There is active collaboration with the Nursing organization on Nursing Practice, Competencies & Education, Magnet and TJC Standards. There is active collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer on business, economics and efficiency of the peri-operative services. There is active collaboration with Information technology and other Penn Medicine peri operative units on leveraging the information systems for business intelligence and key indicators. This role is responsible and accountable for the overall management of services for the operating rooms, pre-operative areas, Interventional Radiology, anesthesia, post-operative and peri-operative bed flow.
**Minimum Requirements** :
Physician required with a specialty in Surgery or Anesthesia.
Master s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other related discipline preferred.
10+ years of business experience in implementing strategic and operational planning processes.
Prior healthcare administration experience is preferred.
