Job Summary 13;
Performs Electrocardiography testing (ECG, EKG), Holter and Trans telephonic monitoring and Pacemaker report uploading transmissions to shared drive and Apollo/ Epic systems. Responsible for scheduling, hooking up, ordering, billing, recording, distributing, filing of all ECG reports, typing and Holter and Trans telephonic monitor reports also responsible for Holter acquiring and uploading to outside vendor. Responsible for disk maintenance for electrocardiograms.
Job Responsibilities 13;
:Perform standard ECG testing, Holter and Trans telephonic monitoring, Upload Holter, TTM, Pacemaker transmissions daily.
:Place monitors on patients and/or give to parent to perform home hookup. Communicate detailed instructions to parents with regard to paperwork (diary, FedEx) also demonstrate proper lead placement and procedures to hookup Holter monitor and run Baseline for TTM monitor from Lab or home, explain method for return via FedEx when monitoring is completed.
:Accept and process Holter reports via our own Holter uploading system and Trans telephonic and pacemaker reports from monitoring service websites. Direct reports to appropriate physicians daily. Upload tests to shared drive for EP, fellows and attendings to read online.
:Perform remote monitor downloads and enrollment quarterly.
:Obtain insurance information and complete billing forms for CHCA for all Holter/TTM patients with accuracy and complete order for test in EPIC/Apollo.
:Retrieve and re:file ECG file folders for patient visits weekly.
:Retrieve patient records from disks on portable ECG machines and process the information with on a daily basis.
:Ensure all institutional infection control standards 100 of the time.
:Check inventory and order supplies weekly.
:Answer phones within 3 rings and make appointment, resolve problem, or determine appropriate next step within amount of time appropriate to complexity of the problem with a maximum of 5 bona fide complaints per year.
:Participate in monthly lab meetings.
:Determine training and upgrading needs and initiate requests in a timely fashion. 13;
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations 13;
Required Education and Experience 13;
1:5 years experience in ECG/Holter with or without certification
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
:Pediatric ECG training and certification by an accredited ECG program preferred.
:Pediatric specific certification preferred. 13;
