SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Manage Amtraks Radio Engineering Group
:This position is responsible for all FCC licensed radios and radio systems under Amtrak control.
: It is responsible for conceptual and design planning for all radio projects as well as all required FCC licensing.
: Prepares specifications for design and procurement of radio systems.
:Establishes company policy and maintenance criteria for all radio systems assuring compliance with FCC regulations.
:Monitors policies, maintenance responsibilities and provides technical guidance for all radio shops nationwide.
:Manages budgets for the Radio Department.
* Extensive experience in the radio field with extensive knowledge of antenna systems and signal propagation.
* Valid FCC GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License).
* BSEE with extensive years experience in the radio field.
* Valid FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License.
* Extensive experience dealing with FCC licensing requirements.
COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
