A Project Coordinator job is available courtesy of Grom Associates. Our direct client is looking for an organized and energetic Project Coordinator to join our growing organization. In this role will work with the Project Manager and project team to organize and execute exciting company projects. Working in a team environment, the Project Coordinator will coordinate the activities of all team members involved to keep workflow on track, organize and plan meetings with Project Manager and arrange and manage team goals/project schedules/new information and keeps all material up:to:date.
The Project Coordinator responsibilities include and not limited to:
Communicate timeline changes and new information to team; tracks project changes and adjust schedules as needed.
Record minutes and take detailed notes during meetings.
In charge of keeping track of all project:related paperwork; ensure all needed materials are current and properly filed and stored.
Identify/collect project issues and keep track of issue resolution.
Track and analyze project risks and recommend improvements.
Work to improve the project process including documenting existing and future business processes.
Ensure project aligns with set strategy and budget.
Strategize with Project Manager when needed.
Qualifications/ Education/ Experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or relevent work experience is required.
3+ years Information Technology project coordination experience.
Superior computer skills; well:versed in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
Exposure to formal Project Management methods, techniques, and tools (e.g. Project Portfolio Management).
Must have held project coordination positions in an IT organization of comparable size and have experience coordinating small, medium and large projects (full scope: budget, charters, project planning, communication plan, etc.).
Exposure to working with a wide range of business functional areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Sales, R and D, and IT.
Experience in drafting project related artifacts (e.g. requirements).
Experience in securing document approvals.
Experience in scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, and following up with others on meeting action items.
